DESCRIPTION
​The Electro-Voice EKX Series of passive loudspeakers delivers professional-grade audio performance suitable for a variety of applications, including live sound, DJing, and installed sound systems. The series includes two-way models with 12-inch and 15-inch woofers, as well as 15-inch and 18-inch subwoofers. For instance, the EKX-12 features a 12-inch EVS-12M woofer and a DH-1M 1-inch titanium compression driver, handling up to 1,400 watts peak power and achieving a maximum SPL of 131 dB. Similarly, the EKX-15 is equipped with a 15-inch EVS-15M woofer and the same compression driver, supporting up to 1,600 watts peak power with a maximum SPL of 132 dB. Both models incorporate Electro-Voice's patented Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) waveguide design, ensuring precise and consistent 90° x 60° coverage. Constructed from 15-mm plywood with internal bracing and finished with durable EVCoat, these enclosures are designed for both portability and longevity. Additional features include eight M10 threaded mounting points, aluminum pole mounts, and all-metal handles for versatile installation options. With a frequency range extending from 50 Hz to 20 kHz, the EKX Series delivers clear, full-range sound, making it a reliable choice for professionals seeking high-quality passive loudspeakers.
