The EVC-1181S-PIB is an 18-inch weatherized passive point-source subwoofer designed to deliver deep, defined low-frequency performance in professional sound installations. It features a single EVS-18L low-frequency transducer with a 2.5-inch voice coil in an optimally vented enclosure, providing a frequency response of 38 Hz to 95 Hz (-3 dB). It is designed to complement Electro-Voice EVC 8-, 12-, and 15-inch full-range loudspeakers.

With 400 W continuous and 1,600 W peak power handling, the EVC-1181S-PIB delivers 97 dB sensitivity and up to 129 dB maximum calculated SPL. Its 15 mm plywood enclosure features a durable black EVCoat finish. The weatherized construction includes an IP55 rating and an 18-gauge stainless-steel grille backed with acoustically transparent hydrophobic cloth for added protection in demanding environments.

Multiple M10 rigging points support flexible installation for floor placement or suspension using compatible hardware. The input panel supports connections for wire sizes up to 10 AWG and can accommodate an optional TK-150 transformer for 70 V/100 V distributed audio systems when required.

Note: The EVC-1181S-PIB does not have an internal passive crossover. Proper operation requires a suitable active low-pass filter and a fourth-order Butterworth system high-pass filter. Rigging hardware and the optional transformer are sold separately.
