The EVC-1181S-PIW is an 18-inch weatherized passive point-source subwoofer designed to deliver powerful, defined low-frequency performance in professional sound installations. It features a single 18-inch low-frequency transducer with a 2.5-inch voice coil in an optimally vented enclosure, extending down to 38 Hz. Designed to complement Electro-Voice EVC 8-, 12-, and 15-inch full-range loudspeakers, it adds substantial bass output to installed sound systems in venues such as outdoor plazas, stadium concourses, houses of worship, and clubs.

With 400 W continuous power handling, the EVC-1181S-PIW is built for demanding professional audio applications. Its weatherized enclosure is finished in white EVCoat and includes four M10 suspension points for flexible installation. The input panel accommodates speaker wire sizes up to 10 AWG.

The EVC-1181S-PIW operates in an active system configuration and requires a suitable active low-pass filter and a fourth-order Butterworth system high-pass filter for proper operation. It is designed to provide low-frequency reinforcement beneath compatible EVC full-range loudspeakers.
