The EVC-1181S-W is an 18-inch passive subwoofer designed to deliver deep, defined low-frequency output for professional fixed-installation sound systems. It features a single EVS-18L low-frequency transducer with a 2.5-inch voice coil in an optimally vented enclosure, producing a frequency response of 38 Hz to 95 Hz (-3 dB). It is designed to complement Electro-Voice EVC 8-, 12-, and 15-inch full-range loudspeakers, as well as compatible EVF, EVH, EVA, and EVU systems.

With 400 W continuous and 1,600 W peak power handling, the EVC-1181S-W delivers 97 dB sensitivity and up to 129 dB maximum calculated SPL. Its 15 mm plywood enclosure features a durable white textured finish and an 18-gauge powder-coated steel grille, making it suitable for indoor fixed installations where a clean, professional appearance is desired.

Multiple M10 suspension points support flexible installation for floor placement or suspension using compatible rigging hardware. For 70 V/100 V distributed audio systems, the subwoofer can accommodate the optional TK-150 transformer. Electro-Voice's Automatic Saturation Compensation (ASC) technology helps preserve low-frequency performance when the transformer is installed.

Note: The EVC-1181S-W does not have an internal passive crossover. A suitable active low-pass filter and fourth-order Butterworth high-pass filter are required for proper operation. Rigging hardware and the optional transformer are sold separately.
