The Electro-Voice PL37 is a cardioid condenser overhead microphone designed to capture the crisp detail and natural sound of cymbals, hi-hats, and percussion. Its fast transient response accurately reproduces stick and mallet attacks, while its crisp frequency response brings out the clarity and shimmer of every performance.

Featuring a tight cardioid pickup pattern, the PL37 helps reduce unwanted off-axis sound and stage bleed, creating a cleaner drum mix with higher gain before feedback. Its high-output, self-biased condenser element delivers a strong, low-noise signal and operates on standard phantom power.

Beyond drum overhead and percussion applications, the PL37 is also suitable for acoustic guitar and other acoustic instruments, making it a versatile choice for live sound and studio recording.
